This Privacy Policy explains how FoxyDNS processes data when you use the public DNS resolver service available via https://foxydns.com.

1. Overview

FoxyDNS is a public DNS resolver. When you use the Service, your device sends DNS queries to FoxyFy-operated servers. These queries may include technical information such as your IP address and the domain names being resolved.

FoxyFy is committed to minimizing data collection and handling all data responsibly and in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including the GDPR.

2. What Data Is Processed

When you use FoxyDNS, the following data may be processed:

  • IP address (required to return DNS responses)
  • DNS query data (e.g., requested domain names)
  • Timestamp of the query
  • Protocol information (e.g., DoH / DoT / UDP)

No account or registration is required to use the Service.

3. Purpose of Processing

Data is processed solely for the following purposes:

  • Providing DNS resolution
  • Maintaining service stability and performance
  • Detecting and preventing abuse (e.g., DDoS, scanning)
  • Generating aggregated, non-identifying statistics

4. Logging and Retention

FoxyDNS does not create long-term user profiles.

Operational logs may be stored temporarily for debugging and abuse prevention. These logs:

  • May contain IP addresses and query data
  • Are retained only for a limited period
  • Are not used for tracking individual users

Aggregated statistics (e.g., total queries, country distribution) do not identify individual users.

5. No Sale or Tracking

FoxyFy does not:

Data may only be disclosed in the following cases:

FoxyDNS does not share data with third parties for commercial purposes.

7. International Data Routing

FoxyDNS operates a distributed network of DNS servers. Depending on configuration and availability, queries may be processed by servers in different geographic regions.

If you use an EU-only mode, DNS queries are handled by servers located within European infrastructure.

8. Security

FoxyDNS supports encrypted DNS protocols such as DNS over HTTPS (DoH) and DNS over TLS (DoT), which help protect queries from interception or tampering.

Reasonable technical and organizational measures are in place to protect the infrastructure.

9. Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Union, you have rights under the GDPR, including:

  • The right to access personal data
  • The right to request correction or deletion
  • The right to restrict processing
  • The right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority

Due to the nature of DNS as a stateless service, FoxyDNS may not be able to associate requests with a specific individual.
